Who We Are

Atlantia Crown Tourney

Medieval manors were held by earls, barons, or knights in exchange for military aid. Each manor, ideally, had to support the needs of a single cavalryman. This included the provision of food, clothing, and food for his household as well as the means to obtain armor and arms. The manor was a farm, some of it farmed by the lord, some of it worked by tenants.

The manor was also a factory, producing yarn, textiles, candles, wine and other commodities, much of it by the ladies of the court who were taught to spin, weave, and knit at an early age. Surplus goods were sold far and wide to generate revenues for the defense of the holdings and provision for time of war. In such time, the solid stone walls of the manor were also a refuge.

At the Misty Manor, we provide a refuge for some of the skills that have largely been lost in the mists of the past. Like the old manors, we provide fine goods: soaps, candles, and textiles created by our household, with our own hands.

A piece of yesterday, providing light for today.
