A traditional, natural "oil soap" for cleaning and polishing wood tools, surfaces, or floors in a concentrated liquid paste. Can be used to protect metal tools such as shovels, make moving parts of fiber tools slip, ease sticky drawers, or pre-coat wood screws for easier penetration.
Application
Apply with a soft cloth and rub in to clean and polish fiber tools, wood counter surfaces, cupboards, furniture, etc. Use to pre-clean wood surfaces before finishing or use repeated applications as a wood finish. Typically, no need to rinse. Not for waxed hardwood floors but perfect for natural wood floors. A little goes a long way. It is better to add a little at a time more often (letting it soak in) than a lot at once.
Can dissolve 1-2 tablespoons per 1 gallon hot mop water. Apply with damp mop and let dry. Typically, no need to rinse. For abused natural-wood floors, apply with a damp rag or soft-bristled brush. Scrub, buff, and let dry. This can bring very hard-used floors back to life but takes elbow-grease.
For varnished or lacquered floors, paneling, etc., this will not repair damaged areas where the lacquer has been chipped or stripped, however, it will protect the bare wood until the floor can be stripped and refinished.
For treating metal tools (shovels, handsaw blades, trowels, axes, etc) or screws, heat metal and apply a thin coat with a soft cloth. Wipe off excess when tool cools. This will protect a tool some against water damage or corrosion and will help screws penetrate hardwood smoothly.
The 3 oz size is recommended to try or for occasional wood cleaning. The 22 oz container is a household size for households like ours that have a lot of wood surfaces and tools.
Tips: Product may separate some in storage; stir thoroughly before use. Cap tightly to prevent the turpentine from evaporating. Store cool and dark. Do not expose to direct flame or high heat.
Recycling: Returned empty containers will be reused and your next order will be discounted.
